Enquanto o meu cabelo crescia [While my hair grew] is a story about childhood and growing up, which unfolds around hairstyles, confessions, looks, changes in appearance, dreams and frustrations related to body image: “You have to understand hair,” Mila used to say whenever someone new showed up at the salon. “Because only by understanding one’s hair can we understand what goes on inside their head.”
