This child is now 53 years old and realises that the story of his antifascist family, similar to so many others, cannot be forgotten and must be told to his children as an example of courage and unquestionable belief in Freedom – a life primordial value, yet, unfortunately, eternally threatened.

Não se deixem enganar! – Um conto panfletário de 2019 [Don’t let yourselves be fooled! – A 2019 pamphleteer tale] is a tribute to the generation of fathers and mothers born in the 1930s who, seeking neither historical recognition nor political or any other kind of protagonism, never resigned, risked their lives, experienced imprisonment, went into exile and were persecuted so that we can nowadays live in a better country – without ever forgetting that, today as much as yesterday, we need to keep paying attention to the tides!
