Pangea
Following his debut album Greatest Hits (March 2023), a personal selection of 12 tracks composed between the ages of 9 and 19, the young composer and pianist Máximo now presents us with Pangea, composed over the course of a year, a six-track new album that "aims to transform the annual cycle into a musical journey, capturing the contrasts and moods of each season in an impressionistic way."

“Pangea, the supercontinent, serves as a metaphor for the need for a unified, indeed collective society, free from individual eco-anxiety in its fight against the climate crisis.”
Recorded in the Netherlands – where Máximo lives and is finishing his higher education – and in Bairro Alto, in Lisbon, Pangea also features Selma Uamusse, who on this album brings voice and band into Máximo's music for the first time. Pangea is available on digital platforms, and the CD is for sale at Teatro da Voz and online: https://maximofrancisco.com/products/pangea-cd.
The album tour will take place in February 2025.
